About the time these photos were taken I was a third through my summer experience. One of the trips I led was titled "Amazing Thailand" and it involved touring around the landscapes, temples, beaches and sights of Thailand and its 'Land of Smiles.' I also think that when I reached this part of my summer I reached such an appreciation for living and witnessing some of the things God has placed on this earth. Many things need to be appreciated, whether its waking up in the morning, the smile of your child, a job, a friend... to me it is all relative.
I remember standing out observing and embracing the mountain scape in Chiang Dao and humbly shedding tears because of how thankful I was to be able to take in such beauty. Summer was full of memorable moments, but this was one of my most striking because just four weeks prior I was burglarized then hit off my motorcycle and left to fend for myself. So the appreciation for simple things like fresh air was just as relative as appreciating a sunset in a foreign land: both strike
